UPDATE: thanks to a comment, you can get Ubisoft Connect to auto-launch a specific game by adding uplay://launch/*gameID*/0 to the end of your Steam launch options for the app (ID list here) which gets around the flashing issue but only works for a specific game at a time. Steam overlay and uPlay overlay works fine on mine. Usually its overlays (Fraps, MSI, etc.) that interfere with these type of things. But they both work if the game is forefront. If Im chatting on Steam, Shift + F2 doesnt work. A problem shared by many launchers right now. So if Im already in the uPlay overlay, Shift + Tab doesnt work. Uh, you need to have Uplay closed when you lauch a game from Steam that is added by 'Non-Steam game'. Do this by hitting Browse and go to "/home/deck/.steam/root/steamapps/compatdata/" and find the folder with a longer number than usual. Right click on it in your Steam Library again and go -> Properties -> change the Target to the newly installed file.
